Terrance Brooks, a four-star cornerback from Little Elm, Texas, received a scholarship offer from Ohio State on June 14. He didn’t have to mull it for long. On Wednesday, Brooks announced a verbal commitment, bolstering the Buckeyes’ top-ranked recruiting class for 2022 and adding depth to the secondary. Listed at 5 feet 11 and 190 pounds, he is the eighth-ranked cornerback and the 58th-best overall prospect in the class, according to the composite rankings from 247Sports. The Buckeyes have four cornerback commits from the class of 2022 between Brooks and earlier pledges Jyaire Brown, Jaheim Singletary and Ryan Turner. As his recruitment picked up this year, Brooks received a series of scholarship offers from some of the top programs, including Alabama and Clemson.
