COLUMBUS, Ohio — Whatever ailed Ohio State football’s secondary in 2020 — a lack of skill, a lack of depth, or some combination of both — the coaching staff has taken a proactive approach to fixing it in the future. Terrance Brooks’ commitment on Wednesday made him the Buckeyes’ fourth cornerback pledge in the 2022 class. Ranked No. 58 overall in the 247Sports composite, Brooks joins Jaheim Singletary (No. 13 overall) and Jyaire Brown (No. 120) as OSU commitments who rank among the top 13 cornerbacks in the class. (For good measure the Buckeyes think they have a late riser in three-star Ryan Turner, as well.) Ohio State slipped from its annual contention for the DBU title in 2020.
