It’s been reasonable for a while to assume all projected first-round picks will enter and remain in the NBA Draft. In fact, not a single projected first-round pick this year has announced he’s returning to school. Will that change with new NIL rules? Perhaps. But, in recent years, any coach planning to have a projected first-round pick back on campus is a man who was poorly planning.
