COLUMBUS, Ohio — Wide receivers Jaylen Harris and Elijah Gardiner are no longer members of the Ohio State football program. Both players were recently removed from the Buckeyes’ online roster. A team spokesperson said both players graduate and opted to move on. Lettermen Row reported earlier this month that both were no longer playing football. Attempts to reach Harris have been unsuccessful. The Cleveland Heights star was a four-star prospect ranked No. 177 in the 247Sports composite in the Buckeyes’ heralded 2017 recruiting class. However, the 6-5, 213-pound Harris never found a place in the offense, totaling 54 yards on five receptions in his career. Last spring, offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson said Harris “had his best offseason” and complimented his worth ethic and maturity.
