COLUMBUS, Ohio — Justin Benton is relentless. The 2023 four-star defensive lineman from Florida’s IMG Academy proved that when he injured his leg at Ohio State’s one-day camp last Tuesday, but remained attentive on the sideline among other campers with his head held high. He left without an offer, but remained optimistic of his future with the program. Before making his way to Columbus, he told cleveland.com in early June what goals he had set for his visit. “I want to get out of that experience that I’m learning from Coach (Larry) Johnson. (I want to) learn moves and incorporate it into my game and then of course (get an) offer,” he said. Ohio State has been showing interest in Benton for months now and he has established steady communication with Johnson.
