This will mark the first ever time that Buckeye coach Chris Holtmann will have squared off against Duke head man Mike Krzyzewski, who has announced he is retiring after the 2021-22 season. The Buckeyes are 3-4 all time against the Blue Devils, with the most recent meeting between the teams coming on Nov. 28, 2012, also in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Ohio State lost that contest at Cameron Indoor Stadium 73-68.
