Greg Studrawa, Ohio State built deep, versatile offensive line

To say Ohio State’s offensive line cupboard was bare when Greg Studrawa arrived in Columbus in 2016 would be a misnomer. The Buckeyes’ starting front five were all selected in the NFL Draft, two players in the top three rounds. But beyond those starters, the Scarlet and Gray didn’t have much to write home about. Demetrius Knox and Branden Bowen, after recovering from a severe leg injury, both started for Ohio State for a year and were productive late in their careers, but names like Brady Taylor, Matthew Burrell and Evan Lisle, who helped fill out the two-deep, never really emerged as Buckeye-level offensive linemen. “I know the state of the room, what it was when I got here,” Studrawa remembered this week. “For the first two years, I had five people.
