COLUMBUS, Ohio — Thayer Munford did not seem eager to make the proclamation himself, but Ohio State football offensive line coach Greg Studrawa beat him to it. Studrawa said more than the chance to finish his degreed convinced Munford to return for a “super senior” season with the Buckeyes. He said Munford could be the best tackle in the country by the end of the 2021 season. That’s not a far-fetched statement for the fifth-year player. Pro Football Focus ranked him as the top tackle returning this season, and the second-highest graded offensive lineman overall.
