What’s up with Ohio State football’s Craig Young, Marcus Williamson and Demario McCall? Buckeye Bits


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Reports of the Bullet’s demise at Ohio State football have been greatly exaggerated. Buckeyes coach Ryan Day said Monday he still envisions a role for the hybrid safety-linebacker spot that was a big discussion topic when he took over prior to the 2019 season. Former safety Brendon White attempted to transition to that role, but most of the snaps simply went to Sam linebacker Pete Werner. Last season OSU also felt it had four traditional linebackers it had to keep on the field. With all having moved on, there has never been a more wide-open opportunity for the Bullet to make its presence felt. Except … who will play it? Redshirt freshman Kourt Williams remains limited this spring on his way back from a torn ACL.
