After the retirement of co-defensive coordinator Greg Mattison to begin February, head coach Ryan Day confirmed reports of Matt Barnes being promoted to secondary coach and former quality control coach Parker Fleming taking on the position of speccial teams coordinator. on National Signing Day. Last week, reports came out that the Buckeyes will also add Paul Rhoads and Todd Fitch as defensive and offensive analysts respectively and would hire former Scarlet and Gray safety C.J. Barnett as director of player development, replacing the recently departed Ryan Stamper. While Ohio State hasn’t announced Rhoads or Fitch yet, although both are listed on the OSU official directory, the Buckeyes did make the Barnett hiring official on Monday.
