In late July the Buckeyes offered a scholarship to Kissimmee (Fla.) Osceola 2023 defensive end Derrick Leblanc. Leblanc told Bucknuts it was an offer that meant a lot to him and Ohio State was one of his top schools. Leblanc has continued to stay in contact often with the Buckeyes. “I talked to coach (Larry) Johnson yesterday,” Leblanc said. “He was telling me how everything is going. He said it’s going good. I talk to him about twice a week. He can’t call me so I call him. And I talk some to coach (Kerry) Coombs and coach (Tony) Alford.
