CLEVELAND, Ohio — It was mostly a long day at the office for Buckeye and St. Vincent-St. Mary at the Ohio High School Wrestling Coaches Association Division II State Dual Meet Championships in Stuebenville on Saturday. Buckeye lost to Louisville 49-24 in the quarterfinal but left with a 46-25 win over Lisbon Beaver in the consolation bracket. St. Vincent-St. Mary lost both of its team matches — 51-18 against Ashland in the quarterfinal and 42-23 in the consolation to St. Clairsville. Despite No. 6 seed Buckeye’s loss to No. 2 Louisville, the Buckeyes found redemption with nine individual wins in the consolation match. The Bucks totaled five pins and also added a win by major decision. The Bucks won the first three weight classes against Beaver, as well as picking up forfeit points in the 113-pound class.
