The regular-season race for the Big Ten championship is heating up as we enter the home stretch, so Thursday night’s meeting between No. 7 Ohio State (14-4, 8-4 Big Ten) and No. 8 Iowa (13-4, 7-3 Big Ten) looks to be a consequential conference matchup that will go a long way toward settling the final standings. Both teams are just 1.5 games back of league-leading Michigan, which last played Jan. 22 due to restrictions caused by COVID-19 regulations in the state. But it’s not an impossible deficit to make up with nine games remaining. The winner gets an added bonus of staying squarely in the chase and moving into sole possession of third place.
