The biggest college football schedule change amid the coronavirus pandemic may be on the horizon. Ohio State has personnel issues related to COVID-19 and the possibility of delaying the national championship game against Alabama has been discussed, according to AL.com. While Yahoo Sports reports the Buckeyes plan to play the game as scheduled at this point — Monday, Jan. 11 in Miami Gardens, Florida — the initial report from AL.com states the school “has informed key parties involved it could be without a position group due to COVID-19 testing and related protocols.” There have been preliminary discussions about pushing the game back to Jan. 18, according to AL.com. Those talks have included the College Football Playoff, the two schools and the Big Ten and Southeastern Conferences (as well as, almost assuredly, ESPN).
