Gov. Mike DeWine says he won’t lift 10 p.m. coronavirus curfew for Browns, Buckeyes games


COLUMBUS, Ohio—Gov. Mike DeWine on Tuesday ruled out loosening his 10 p.m. statewide curfew for upcoming Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes playoff games, saying the coronavirus crisis is still too severe to allow such a move. “I’d love to do it — we can’t do it,” the governor said during a televised briefing in response to a question from Dan DeRoos of WOIO-TV, who said he was expressing the views of some bar owners and employees. The Browns are playing the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night in their first playoff game since 2002, while the Buckeyes face the University of Alabama Crimson Tide on Monday night in the College Football Playoff national championship.
