When was the last time an Ohio State football team felt a victory as personally as last Friday’s 49-28 whooping of Clemson in the Sugar Bowl? Possibly the 2014 College Football Playoff semifinal victory over Alabama, which answered years of little brother taunting from the SEC. Perhaps one of the Michigan victories before some of the life left half of that rivalry. A full year and an entire spectrum of emotions — regret, sadness, anger, revenge — fueled that Clemson victory. Countless teams have emptied themselves emotionally one week and struggled to refuel that tank for the follow-up.
