NEW ORLEANS — Three observations from Ohio State football’s 49-28 victory over Clemson in a College Football Playoff semifinal at the Sugar Bowl on Friday. 1. It doesn’t make sense that a high-level tight end would want to comes to Ohio State. They are rarely featured in the offense and usually relegated to being extra offensive linemen. But Jeremy Ruckert didn’t see it that way when he came as the No. 2-ranked tight end in the country in 2018. That decision and his development paved the way for other players seen more as “receiving tight ends” to feel comfortable picking OSU.
