COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s Wyatt Davis came into the 2020 season with the reputation and expectations reserved for returning All-Americans. That did not make OSU’s right guard immune to the same slow start many players experienced coming back from the Big Ten’s canceled season. Davis even opted out of the season briefly before deciding to return to the Buckeyes. “I definitely feel like, as the games went on, my play definitely has gotten better each week,” Davis said. “Not having spring ball, that was my biggest takeaway was how important those reps are — especially on the offensive line.” As Oho State’s stop-and-start season progressed, Davis began to find his rhythm. The Buckeyes’ running game grew more potent, and people again began to take notice.
