COLUMBUS, Ohio — Clemson was a curiosity, fresh and feisty, with a great backstory and a new attitude, when Ohio State met the Tigers in the Orange Bowl to conclude the 2013 season. If you take that as Clemson’s freshman year in high school, the Tigers are now in their senior year of college, and oh, how they’ve grown. This is obvious to those who know them best, but Ohio State’s relationship with Clemson is more like a Christmas card relationship. You’re vaguely aware of them all year, and then in December, they send you an update bragging about all they’ve done. Oh,No. 2 in the final playoff rankings? Again? What a shock. Your quarterback is probably going No. 1 in the NFL Draft? You can’t believe how Trevor’s hard work will be rewarded? Lovely. Dabo got another award at work? And he has an opinion on everything?
