COLUMBUS, Ohio — Jonathon Cooper knew what he was doing when he decided that Ohio State football’s matchup with Michigan would be his last game of the 2019 season. He’d been dealing with injuries all season, putting him in a position to redshirt the year, having only played four games. He’d get a do-over for his senior season with a 12-game schedule. So after a breakout performance against the Wolverines with three tackles, one tackle for loss and a sack, his season was over after four games. He watched his teammates put together a second-half comeback win over Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship game to get back to the College Football Playoff.
