Rutgers’ frustration with officiating in loss to Ohio State boils over after game. Will it fuel the Scarlet Knights?


No. 11 Rutgers suffered its first loss of the season on Wednesday, and some of its players have their fingers pointed at the officiating crew. Here is the case to be made: Despite leading by double-digits for most of the contest, the Scarlet Knights fell 80-68 after being outscored 29-9 over the final 8 minutes and 44 seconds. The significance of that timestamp? It was when starting center Myles Johnson fouled out after just 15 minutes on the court. With starting center Cliff Omoruyi out with a knee injury, it was reserve center Mamadou Doucoure who filled in during the stretches Johnson spent on the bench.
