COLUMBUS, Ohio — One again, Ohio State’s Justin Fields was recognized as the top offensive force in the Big Ten. Fields was voted Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year by a voting panel selected by The Associated Press. He is one of four first-team selections for the Buckeyes, along with left tackle Thayer Munford, right guard Wyatt Davis and cornerback Shaun Wade. Ohio State’s second-team choices included receivers Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave, center Josh Myers, running back Master Teague, defensive tackles Haskell Garrett and Tommy Togiai, linebacker Pete Werner and punter Drue Chrisman. Other major awards went to Iowa defensive lineman Daviyon Nixon as Defensive Player of the Year, Indiana’s Tom Allen as Coach of the Year and Northwestern defensive back Brandon Joseph as Newcomer of the Year.
