Ohio State football’s relentless offense dominates All-Big Ten voting


COLUMBUS, Ohio — In a Big Ten football season so disjointed and compromised by the coronavirus pandemic, Ohio State’s offense exceeded its prodigious expectations. Outscoring all other league teams by 15 points per game. Storming to 50 more yards per game on the ground. Utilizing a Heisman Trophy candidate quarterback and two elite receivers in a passing attack that at times seemingly cannot be defended. The Big Ten recognized all aspects of that prolific offense in its awards voting Tuesday. Six Buckeyes were named first-team All-Big Ten, and a total of 12 players were listed on teams voted on by the coaches and media. Quarterback Justin Fields headlined the first-team selections. On the coaches’ ballot, Fields was joined by guard Wyatt Davis, tackle Thayer Munford, center Josh Myers and receivers Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson.
