COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football didn’t need any more reasons to have animosity toward Clemson, but Dabo Swinney gave the Buckeyes one anyway. The Tigers’ head coach made it clear that he’s not a fan of the Buckeyes being allowed into the four-team College Football Playoff in a season where they’ll only play six games. In an interview on the Rich Eisen Show, he cited the records of Florida and Texas A&M — both of which will play at least 10 games — as more worthy teams of the No. 4 spot.
This isn’t the first time Swinney caused a stir with his public comments this season. This is the same man who attacked Florida State for canceling a game against Clemson only hours before kickoff because of coronavirus concerns.
