Gophers top Penn State 3-2, sweep Nittany Lions to open season


The Minnesota Golden Gophers defeated the Penn State Nittany Lions 3-2 on Friday at 3M Arena, securing a 2-0 start to the season and a sweep of the Nittany Lions. More Gophers coverage Minnesota got off to a good start with a power-play goal from Scott Reedy with 15:25  left in the first period.
