Ohio State offered quarterback Quinn Ewers before he even started high school at Southlake Carroll. Nearly 30 months later, and after Ewers previously committed to another school, the Buckeyes earned his commitment. Ewers, the top-ranked recruit in the class of 2022, according to 247Sports, announced his commitment to Ohio State on Thursday. Ewers’ latest decision comes less than a month after he decommitted from Texas. Losing Ewers was a major recruiting blow to Texas, and now a major gain for Ohio State. That’s because Ewers — a 6-foot-3 prospect who can throw the ball more than 70 yards — stepped in as a sophomore and dominated at the highest level of Texas high school football.
