Ohio State basketball to open 20-game Big Ten schedule at Purdue on Dec. 16


COLUMBUS, Ohio — With the start of the 2020-21 regular season just seven days away, Ohio State basketball finally knows who its Big Ten opponents are. The Big Ten will play a full 20-game schedule, bringing the Buckeyes to 26 games on the season. They’ll start Nov. 25 with a home game against Illinois State, the first of six non-conference games. The conference schedule will start in West Lafayette, Indiana against Purdue on Dec. 16. Because of the coronavirus, the schedule allows for maximum flexibility in the potential rescheduling of games, this year’s schedule is built with dates available for postponed games — the weeks of Jan. 18-21, Jan. 25-28, Feb. 22-25 and March 1-5. The Big Ten Tournament will run from March 10-14 at the United Center in Chicago.
