Why Ohio State football vs. Indiana in a top-10 matchup is conjuring thoughts of this recent Buckeyes loss


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Let’s dispense with what Saturday’s top-10 game between No. 3 Ohio State and No. 9 Indiana is not. * It is not a non-conference game, so any top-10 matchups the Buckeyes have played against foes outside the Big Ten are irrelevant as context. Ohio State’s overall record against all top-10 teams is useless, because Clemson is a top-10 team and Indiana is not Clemson. I didn’t even bother looking up non-conference top-10 games. * It is not a Michigan game, so any time the Buckeyes played the Wolverines when they were in the top 10 has no impact here.
