Rutgers’ Brendon White talks about his Ohio State homecoming, relationship with Greg Schiano, and why he fits defensive scheme | Q&A


Brendon White isn’t naive to the fact that Rutgers is a decisive underdog against No. 3-ranked Ohio State. After all, the Scarlet Knights senior defensive back was on the other side the past three years when the Buckeyes cruised to wins by a combined score of 164-24. But White says the mentality he had when he manned the Ohio State defensive backfield is the same mindset he’ll bring with him Saturday (7:30 p.m., BTN) when Rutgers arrives in Columbus, Ohio, as a 37-point underdog. “I don’t think anybody goes on the field expecting to lose. Everyone expects to win,” he said. “I expect to win every game we play. That’s the biggest goal.
