COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State basketball has withdrawn from the Crossover Classic in Sioux Falls, South Dakota as first reported by Stadium’s Jeff Goodman. The decision is a result of the state’s coronavirus positivity rate of 50.6 percent and the 14-day quarantine advised by the Ohio Department of Health for residents who are returning from a seven-state list. OSU was one of eight teams in the tournament after the Battle 4 Atlantis was canceled because of coronavirus concerns. This news comes a day after the announcement that graduate transfer Abel Porter will miss the 2020-21 season because of a non-COVID related medical condition. The Buckeyes were supposed to open their season with the tournament, facing Memphis in the first round. on Nov. 25.
