COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football will play Rutgers on Saturday, and if the past six games are any indication, the Buckeyes will leave Ohio Stadium with a comfortable win. But if there’s one interesting sidelight to the game, it’s Brendon White’s first game inside Ohio Stadium since transferring to Rutgers. The Ohio native was a four-star recruit in the 2017 recruiting class who broke out in a 36-31 win over Nebraska in 2018. White entered at safety after Jordan Fuller was ejected for targeting. He quickly showed that he deserved a role on a less-than-stellar defense. He ended the year with MVP honors in the Rose Bowl with expectations of building on that in 2019. Ohio State even created a new position, the “bullet,” that would best show off his skill set. Instead, he played in just 176 snaps — according to Eleven Warriors — before leaving the team…
