COLUMBUS, Ohio — Brian Hartline hasn’t taken long to succeed on the recruiting trail as Ohio State football’s wide receivers coach. All seven of his commits have been top-100 players in the 2020 and 2021 recruiting classes, and he might not be done adding to it. Now he’s moving on to 2022, where he’s sent out offers to six players — all but one of which are top-100 — and most are high on the Buckeyes. The only committed player is Luther Burden, who attends the same high school as Jameson Williams in Missouri. The No. 14 player and second-best wide receiver chose Oklahoma earlier this month but had OSU his top five. That leaves Caleb Burton as the only uncommitted five-star with an offer, and Hartline is in a position to do the improbable: Land the best wide receiver in the country three straight times.
