Another week, another chance for Ohio State to show it is the class of the Big Ten. The third-ranked Buckeyes made good on their latest opportunity against No. 18 Penn State, handily beating the Nittany Lions 38-25 in Beaver Stadium. That started with another brilliant performance by quarterback Justin Fields, who completed 28 of 34 passes for 318 yards and four touchdowns; he spread the ball around a lot as well, hitting Chris Olave (seven receptions, 120 yards, two touchdowns); Garrett Wilson (11 receptions, 111 yards); and Jeremy Ruckert (four receptions, 25 yards, two scores). The Buckeyes had plenty of success in the ground game as well: Master Teague III rushed 23 times for 110 yards and a score. Trey Sanders got some good gainers too, rushing 13 times for 56 yards.
