What Ohio State football’s Master Teague overcame, and what he still wants to be for the Buckeyes


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Even before his body caught up to his determination, Ohio State football’s Master Teague wowed crowds with physical challenges. At around age 7, some neighborhood kids dared him to jump over one of the huge city trash cans in his hometown of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. His nervous mother warned him not to do it. Teague took off running and soared over the receptacle, then relished the astonished cheers of those who had put him up to it. “I for sure thought we were going to go to the hospital,” Emily Teague said. “It was like it was nothing to him.” At a chiseled 5-11, 225 pounds, Teague still impresses with physical feats.
