No. 3 Ohio State opened the 2020 season last Saturday after long last and rewarded Buckeye fans for their wait this fall with a 52-17 win against Nebraska. By the game’s end, it was a convincing result for the Scarlet and Gray who, after a bit of a slow start, really asserted their dominance for the vast majority of the 60 minutes. This weekend, the challenge gets more difficult, or at least it appears to on paper. Ohio State travels to face East Division rivals Penn State at Beaver Stadium on Saturday night. It most years, the primetime contest would mean the Buckeyes are set to face “white-out conditions” in State College, but this year, due to COVID-19 protocols in the Big Ten, the only people in the stands will be family and friends, which takes much of the advantage for the home team away.
