The only novel item to differentiate Saturday’s 43-3 loss at Northwestern from a handful last season was the presence of Tua Tagovailoa’s little brother at quarterback. And for one series, he was fine, hitting some passes, driving the Terrapins to a game-starting field goal. After that, Taulia Tagovailoa looked not just frustrated but lost. He overthrew receivers, he made senseless heaves into clear double coverage, he looked as if he really wasn’t sure what was going on out there, as if it was moving too fast.
