He made a big one before the end of the third quarter. Banks’ scoop-and-score gave the Buckeyes a 38-14 lead with 8:02 remaining in the third quarter. Ohio State defensive end Pete Werner forced a fumble from Nebraska quarterback Adrian Martinez. Banks gathered it in stride, corrected himself in the open field when he started to stumble, and finished off the 55-yard touchdown return. It was the first turnover of the game for either team.
