COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s trip to Penn State will receive marquee treatment, even if the Nittany Lions’ season-opening loss deprives it of being a top-10 matchup. ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit said during Saturday’s Michigan-Minnesota broadcast that College GameDay will feature the Halloween night meeting between the Buckeyes and the Nittany Lions. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. on ABC. According to ncaa.com, this will be Ohio State’s 47th GameDay appearance — one shy of Alabama for most all-time. Ohio State already has the most GameDay victories, with a 33-14 all-time record. Prior to the season the game projected as a pivotal one between perhaps the two best teams in the Big Ten’s East Division.
