Ty Hamilton loses his black stripe: Ohio State football news


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football saw its second defensive player from the 2020 recruiting class lose their black stripe in defensive lineman Ty Hamilton. He is one of eight in-state commits in the class out of Pickerington Central High School, where he was the No. 762 overall player and No. 33 strongside defensive end. He is also the little brother of former Buckeye Davon Hamilton, a third-round draft pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2020 NFL Draft. The three-star recruit’s trajectory could mirror that of his brother’s, who spent five years with Ohio State before breaking out in 2019 28 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and six sacks.
