Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Kourt Williams are first freshmen to lose black stripe: Ohio State football news


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football saw the first two members of its 2020 recruiting officially become Buckeyes after Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Kourt Williams lost their black stripes. Njigba is one of four top 100 wide receivers in the class rated as the nation’s No. 25 player and No. 5 wide receiver. Julian Fleming — the position’s top player — joins him as the Buckeyes’ fourth and five commits from five-star wide receivers in the modern era. The Texas native attended Rockwall High School, where he caught 104 passes for 2,094 yards and 35 touchdowns while leading the Yellowjackets to a 12-3 record as a senior. He’s expected to compete for a spot as a slot receiver alongside Garrett Wilson this season. He feels he can have a K.J.
