Ohio State football opens season at home against Nebraska, travels to Penn State in Week 2


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State and Nebraska — the two teams most vocal in their effort to salvage the fall football schedule — open their seasons at Ohio Stadium on Oct. 24. The Big Ten schedule rollout is currently airing live during the first hour of Fox Big Noon Kickoff. (Note: The broadcast is apparently not available in all markets.) OSU and Nebraska accounted for two of the three votes against the Aug. 11 cancellation, with Iowa being the other. A group of eight Nebraska players filed a lawsuit against the Big Ten to have the decision to cancel fall sports overturned. That lawsuit was withdrawn after the Big Ten announced the reinstatement of a fall season last Wednesday. A week later on Halloween, Ohio State travels to Penn State. Traditionally that matchup would be an intense “whiteout” game with Beaver Stadium creating one of the more hostile visiting environments…
