Ohio State football’s Shaun Wade declares for NFL Draft despite pending Big Ten decision


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Another Ohio State football star announced he will not play this fall, regardless of what the Big Ten Conference decides in the coming days. Buckeyes cornerback Shaun Wade announced Monday morning that he will forego his remaining eligibility and declare for the 2021 NFL Draft. He joins offensive lineman Wyatt Davis as Buckeyes choosing not to play. Players who make such announcements but do not compromise their NCAA eligibility are free to return to their teams. Wade’s father, Randy, has been a vocal leader of the push for the Big Ten to play this fall.
