Ohio State football’s Shaun Wade could return this fall, but seeks ‘clarity’ from Big Ten


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Shaun Wade has not given up on the goal that brought him back to Ohio State for 2020 — leading the Buckeyes win a national championship this fall. Wade, who announced Monday morning he would forego his remaining eligibility to enter the 2021 NFL Draft, told cleveland.com he has not yet signed with an agent. He said there is no timetable for making a final decision, but the door is not closed on returning to play another season with the Buckeyes. Whether or not the cornerback comes back this fall depends on two things. First, does the Big Ten put a season in place that Wade and his family feels is compatible with his NFL aspirations? Secondly, what does Wade hear from the league in terms of protocols for handling the coronavirus pandemic and the decisions to cancel the season on Aug. 11 and restart it now?…
