COLUMBUS, Ohio — Looking at the logos sprinkled across the screen on my Associated Press ballot before I hit the “submit” button, something simply felt wrong. No Big Ten teams. None from the Pac-12, either. Both conferences, as well as the Mountain West and the Mid-American, are ineligible from inclusion as long as their teams are not scheduled to play this fall. That means my preseason No. 1, Ohio State, does not appear on this ballot. Neither do Nos. 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 18, 20 and 21. To fill out the final 10 spots I had to dip into the teams I only briefly considered ranking in the preseason, and some I had not considered at all. With the Big Ten reportedly voting on resuming football in the next 48 hours, perhaps the Buckeyes and those other castaways will be back on our ballots soon. Until then, here’s what…
