COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State at Oregon would have been a top-10 matchup Saturday, probably a prime time game featuring the Buckeyes’ second ever visit to Eugene, following a 30-0 OSU win in 1967. Of course, the game is off. It was canceled for one reason (the coronavirus pandemic) and probably would have been canceled for another (poor air quality from West Coast wildfires.) So no Ohio State-Oregon in 2020. The home-and-home series is scheduled to resume with an Oregon visit to Ohio State on Sept. 11, 2021, and one would imagine if that game happens, the two sides will come up with a way for the Buckeyes to make their Oregon trip in the near future to even out the series.
