COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s 2021 commit Andre Turrentine has an even-keel personality. He doesn’t get too high or too low whether it’s at Ensworth High School in Tennesee — where he’s developed into a four-star recruit rated as the nation’s No 139 overall player and No. 5 safety — or making a decision about his future. He was introduced to the Buckeyes when Jeff Hafley was still the co-defensive coordinator. His only prior knowledge of Kerry Coombs was watching him help the Tennesee Titans to back-to-back 9-7 seasons and a trip to the AFC Championship game in 2019. He was aware of the history of defensive backs that had come through Columbus, but he didn’t realize that Coombs was responsible for it all.
