What is the best football plan the Big Ten could implement now? Buckeye Talk daily pod


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Monday was supposed to be the first day of game week for Ohio State football’s season opener against Bowling Green. Then it was supposed to be the start of a shortened week as the Buckeyes prepared to face Illinois under the Big Ten’s revised schedule. Instead it became the day we learned the official count of the vote by presidents and chancellors that canceled the Big Ten fall sports season. Doesn’t quite have the same sense of festivity and anticipation. Nearly three weeks have passed since the Big Ten announced on Aug. 11 there would be no fall sports. The league still has not put its next plan on the table. Options from Thanksgiving through mid-February have been floated as the replacement start date.
