COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s two-tight end concept for 2021 recruiting never quite came together. In a round-about way that may not matter due to the coronavirus pandemic. More on that in a moment. But the Buckeyes still needed to infuse the position with more talent soon, and that position loomed as a major need for 2022. Enter Bennett Christian, a three-star prospect from Acworth, Georgia’s Allatoona High School, who committed to Ohio State on Tuesday night. At 6-6, 235 pounds, Christian fits in comfortably alongside the athletes the Buckeyes have been recruiting for that position in the recent past. Christian said Ohio State tight ends coach Kevin Wilson talked up the prospect’s versatility during the recruiting process.
