COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football continues to add to its 2022 recruiting class with commit No. 6 in Georgia three-star tight end Bennett Christian of Allatoona High School. The three-star recruit is the second offensive player to join the class as the nation’s No. 370 overall player and No. 19 tight end. He chose the Buckeyes over a top three that included Penn State and Tennesee, where his father, Bill Christian, played defensive tackle from 1977-79. Christian’s commitment comes after he decided to make the most of the recruiting dead period. It’s unclear when coaches will be able to do in-person recruiting again, so instead of waiting around for when it was ok to take unofficial visits, he took one on his own.
