Ohio State’s Haskell Garrett released from hospital today after suffering gunshot wound on Sunday


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State senior defensive tackle Haskell Garrett, who suffered a gunshot wound to his face over the weekend, was released from Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center today, per a team spokesperson. Earlier Monday, Buckeyes coach Ryan Day made his first public statements since Garrett’s injury early Sunday morning via an emailed release. “Haskell Garrett has been receiving excellent care at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center for the injuries he received on Sunday,” Day said in the statement. “We anticipate he will be released from the Medical Center this morning. “On behalf of his family and this football program, we would like to thank all those who have been a part of Haskell’s treatment and we are grateful that he will be heading home today.
